Title: Replacement lock cylinders Post by HandyMac on May 25th, 2004, 8:57pm I've been asked to change the cylinder on a Yale front door lock. No probs - can buy these in the local DIY sheds. However, this is a deadlock which has a key on the inside as well as the outside. And I haven't been able to find a replacement cylinder for the inner. Anyone know whether this arrangement requires the whole lock to be replaced? Seems the most probable option but perhaps someone knows of replacements. Andrew |
Title: Re: Replacement lock cylinders Post by thescruff on May 25th, 2004, 9:07pm Several different types, but they would come as a matching pair. Probably cheaper to buy a new lock, although I would ask our local locksmith who has a shop in town. Alternative is post the lock and I could rebuild it for you and match the keys. scruff |
