Hi having trouble trying to fix a VirtrA toilet seat. Its loose and I can't get the metal cap off to find the screw head. I have already managed to detach the toilet seat and cover; just can't open up the T connection. Best if can explain in layman terms as I am no expert. Can someone please help. thanks

Sometimes the chrome cap lifts up a bit and can then be rotated out of the way. See this image..

What happens when you undo the two screws in the 1st pic and remove the cover, does the wc cover lift off.
