Title: Fitting radiator tails Post by londonman on Nov 21st, 2017, 10:56am Any recommendations? I've tried loads of PTFE tape (wound the right way!) but find that it is so slippy that when fitting the valves, the slightest movement in the 'undo' direction and the tail feels as if it will weep. The tails aren't tapered - at least as far as I can see - which rules out, I think Boss White. Very sloppy fit as well which possible rules out stuff like Loctite 577 ? TIA |
Title: Re: Fitting radiator tails Post by thescruff on Nov 21st, 2017, 11:11pm Loctite 55 string every time. Lightly run a hacksaw across the threads stops the tape moving, not needed with loctite 55 |
