Title: power tool batteries
Post by Natedog on Feb 20th, 2018, 6:16pm

back last summer i bought myself a worx cordless pressure washer, mainly as i'm too lazy to drag out the extension lead and normal pressure washer from the shed when i want to wash the car.  quickly discovered that the one battery that came with it wasn't enough to clean a dirty car, so ended up buying a worx cordless drill that came with 2 batteries, as it was only a tenner more than buying 1 spare battery.

i'm now looking at buy a cordless grinder and was wondering if any of you know where there is a guide to battery interchangeability so i'm not stuck with just 1 brand to choose from or having to buy another pile of batteries

I think you are on a hiding to nothing. All manufacturers have their own type of battery.  Sometimes 'smart' battery chargers as well that will refuse to charge up a 'look-alike' battery.
