You can buy cavity closers at the builders merchants specifically for this or.....
external brick, 6" vertical D.P.C. 50mm strip of 6" styrofoam and internal blocks cut alternatly i.e full block with brick at reveal to close cavity.. next course cut block at reveal, next corse full block with brick to close cavity - and so on and so forth, Sorry its hard to describe, but check out the cavity closers.

Regards

ROBBO.

I understand what you are saying about block&brick, but all brickwork is built, will have to pop into local b/merchants & check out cavity closers.

Thanks again
