cant you just run the main bond under the floor to where the water enters the house
or is it a concrete floor?
either way if you are rewireing anyway then why is running in 1 peice of 10mm single earth a problem

with in 600mm is not the length the bond cable has to be !!! It is where the bond has to be in relation to the length of pipe from the meter/stop tap
i think there is a bit of confusion ???

The 600mm is the distance from the meter/stop tap that the connection is made, this chap is wanting the fuseboard/water/gas all close together to ensure that he doesnt use mor ethan 600mm of cable
