Cheap routers? Ryobi.
Jul 22nd, 2004, 9:25pm

Hi great site, just joined.   Haven't sussed it all out yet, but theres a trade section somewhere?

Anyway; I'm pretty tired of swopping router bits all the time and wondered about buying say 3 cheap routers at £15 each at Stax trade centre and leaving them set up for say chamfers, hinge recessing, rounding edges,  leaving my 13mm Hitatchi for worktops and staircases plus my dewalt 6mm for finer work.    Anyone else use cheap tools in this way?

Next; all my dewalt cordless 12 + 14.4v kit is getting tired.   New batteries would help, but I've seen tool ??rack?? selling Ryobi 5 kits, Drill, Jig, Saw, Chopsaw, trim saw plus torch in 18v, all on a wheeled cabinet thingy.
Anyone use ryobi, is it a good make? I have a orbital ryobi sander, seems fine.   comments?

I've never used any Ryobi kit but have a couple of mates in the trade who swear by them.
Understandable as the main Ryobi offices are only 1k from us. Grin
I lost track of one of the girls in the Ryobi offices a few years ago but that is another story Wink

Too right Andrew.
A few years ago I would go to a few different singles clubs and singles dances and could be seeing 3 girls in the same week.
It got confusing when 2 of them turned up at the same dance & I didn't know which way to turn. hehe
