I am building a house which will have a flat roof over lower ground floor bedrooms. The area above will be a balcony. The roof structure will comprise of beam and block construction. I wish to finish the balony in either paving or timber decking.
What is the best solution for the waterproofing.?

I would have thought asphalt would be the best bet, you could lay the slabs straight onto this.

Sika do a range of products which may suit, try their web site I know there was one product at least that would fit the bill as I was going to buy some in for a job as you have last year but went another route eventually as the product was not the cheapest and the customer was a tight arse
