domestic hot water pumps
Aug 6th, 2004, 7:27pm

I'm fitting a pump on the hot water supply.
Question is do I need to fit a non return valve on the expansion pipe to prevent air being drawn into the system when the pump cuts in?
Pump is in the airing cupboard and there is approx 12 feet of head above the pump.
Any help would be appreciated

Tony

Dont put any valves of any type on the expansion pipe, if it jams, oeeeeeeerrrr.
Follow the makers installation instructions so as not to suck air down the pipe.
