extending one pipe central heating system

hi all,
im after a bit of advice on this one. My central heating system is a one pipe pumped system (from the 70s). ive worked out all my calcs etc and added some new rads in the new conservatory. Ive plumbed them in on the conventional flow and return system. Ive been advised to join them into the existing pipe and cut out the pipework in between the new pipes to form a new circuit. Can anyone see a problem with this? My next step if it doesnt work is to take out the existing one pipe system for the rest of the house and replumb it into the flow and return system, but that will take a lot of upheaval. Any comments?
