Tile trim on external corners
May 3rd, 2006, 9:24pm

Hi,

I'm tiling from the floor up to half-way up the walls in my bathroom.

In the window reveal, I have two external corners to put trim around at the top of the highest course of tiles, one either side of the window.

Trouble is I can't work out how to do the joins where the three trims meet (horizontal along the wall / horizontal out of the window reveal / vertical up the window reveal).  ???

Can anyone help please?!

Hi jimcam,

I don't know if its the right way but what I did was cut the upright tile trim level with the top of the tiles then mitre the horizontal trim a bit of careful trimming with a stanley knife to remove the points then grouted, doesn't look too bad.
I'm sure one of the tiling experts will be along soon to give you the right advice.
There a bit like buses you wait ages for one then three will come all at once Grin
