Not sure if I might be duplicating a suggestion that someone else might have already made, but here goes.

As I look through most forums in here, I've noticed that there are some really good threads, particularly some longer threads where members are obviously doing some big jobs that sound quite interesting.

Has anyone thought of a "Projects" forum on this site so members can post big jobs they are doing and they can update regularly with progress reports? There's a similar forum on UKWorkshop.co.uk, eg (http://www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=21641), but ATT seems much better and covers more areas.

Just a thought, or is this a bit geeky?

Sandy

If people could be pursuaded to start threads and continue them going with regular updates and photos it would be good.

I would be a little worried of the other forums then having less content than usual, and while we are quiet, thats not great.

Lets see the general concensus.

Fundamentally a very good idea.

As you have noticed Sandy ATT is probably one of the best forums on the web (for professional tradespeople).

I have been a member of many like forums and ATT remains the best, very little stupidity, bitching and childish behaviour (unless I feel like it!  Wink)

The 'problem' as I see it is TIME to do thing things you suggest. With the unnecessary recession now in near full tilt most of us are busy getting what work we can so time to do what you suggest is a problem. Or we are a load of lazy gits.

But it is quiet on here but postings are of a very high quality - I know I write some of them  Wink (if you want low quality pop along to Screwfix).

I completely agree RR, it is the best trades forum I've seen.

Even though I'm not a full time tradesperson, I still read most of the threads as a lot are really useful, even the one's with some bitching and childish behaviour (God knows we all need some laughs somewhere in life).

I never considered a time issue. Fair point though.
