Skilled Tiler required
Dec 10th, 2009, 12:53pm

Hello all,

I am looking for a skilled craftsman to tile my 2m x 2m wet room floor and walls. I am a fairly competent DIYer but I want the finish and look to be of a very high standard rather than a competent DIY job.

In particular I am looking for someone with the nesessary skills to cut and finish the floor tiles such that they will maintain and suppliment the pre-formed fall, and equally, create the type of look described above.

The room will be be empty, just pipes sticking out of the boards and it will be prepared to the required specification based on advice from these forums and the manufactures instructions for the aqua board etc. I would be happy to take advice before buying the tiles.

I live in the West Midlands and I will be looking for someone to do the tiling from about March.

I have been impressed with the quality of advice and the work ethic demonstrated in these forums and I hope this is the right place to make this  request, if not could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I am in the west Midlands but I am not a tiler (although I do tile).
I had a look at a job this weekend that was done by a pro tiler, for a rather substantial amount of money and it looked like it was done in a hurry by a have-a-go DIY bod. So it is probably best to ask somebody if they have any jobs they can show you before you commission them to do your job, if you want a high spec.
It is also tricky going by somebody else's recommendation because the customer who had the bodged tiling done was over the moon with the job and thought they got a good deal (I did not tell them that it was a poor quality job and they were charged too much, they were happy so I left it at that).
