GFCI Tripping (Read 2369 times)

JohnJoeJ GDPR opt-out	GFCI Tripping Mar 12^th, 2010, 10:37pm Most, but not every, time I turn off my bathroom light or the light in the next room, the GFCI in the bathroom trips. They are all on the same breaker but the lights are not on the load side of the GFCI. Any ideas?

GFCI??

Ground (Earth) Fault Circuit Interrupter.

Here in the UK we know them as RCDs (Residual Current Devices)

So am I correct when I say -

You have a GFCI (RCD to us UK guys) in your bathroom? What is on the load side of it?

You have 2 rooms with lighting ccts supplied from a single mcb?

That the lighting ccts, as far as you know, are not connected to anything related to the GFCI?

Is this correct?
