Noisy Sink waste
Sep 2nd, 2014, 11:16am

Sorry if this has been posted before. I have had a new sink fitted upstairs but when I empty it after about 10 seconds I get a load gurgling sound and then a very
loud dripping sound coming up through the plug hole that slowly tails off after about a minute. Is there anything I can do do to stop this dripping noise that sounds like an annoying thumping noise?

Many thanks

After the noise has stopped dip the waste/trap with a pencil or something thin to check the depth of the water in the trap, then post back.

It maybe a partial blockage, a long run, an anti sihon trap may be the answer but let see first what the pencil trick says
