Removing sensor from outside light.
Oct 27th, 2014, 8:31pm

I have just disconnected and removed a sensor which was wired to an external light. Is it ok to join the red to red wires and black to black wires to get the light operating normally. Also there is another bare wire. Does that also need connecting? Any help gratefully received. Thanks

The bare earth wire would also need to be connected, yes.  All this would need to be done in a suitable IP rated enclosure.
