Hi,
I'm undertaking a conversion of an integral garage to an extra living room and running into some problems with building regs. The main issue is on the garage internal walls (i.e. heated space on the other side) where the building inspector is insisting on 100mm of Celotex insulation in addition to the plasterboard. Basically, they want 100mm all the way round, irrelevant of whether it is internally or externally facing. Based on my research, this isn't necessary on internal walls but I'm not making any progress in my discussions. Am I missing something here (I could just be plain wrong on this!)?
Thanks in advance for any help.
