PIR light into socket (Read 1738 times)

yid GDPR opt-out	PIR light into socket Nov 30^th, 2015, 1:18pm I have had outside sockets which are wired to my comsumer unit with trips and I want to install outside pir light into socket. if I wire it with 2.5m cable and put 13amp socket on the end, would that be legal and safe?

The flex would need to be suitable for use outside and correctly run. The circuit will need to be protected by a RCD. Is it a IP rated socket?
