Hi - I have a hedge trimmer that ran from a rechargeable lead-acid battery. The operating voltage was DC 12V 30W. But these batteries are only available in the UK. I could buy one in the UK, but the manufacturer won't ship them to me in France, where I live now - maybe because it is lead acid).
My question: Is there a safe way of attaching the mains with a long extension cord to this machine using a reasonably light-weight conversion device If so, what kind of device would it be and where can I buy one?
Alternately, if there is a rechargeable battery that would work, what would that be?
