Aug 11th, 2017, 5:24pm

Hi
New to this forum and don't to much electrical DIY.I thought it would be a simple job just to change and light switch from white plastic to Stainless Steel.however the old switch has RED going into A and another red connecting A to B.Yellow goes to A1 and Blue to B1.New switch has COM,L2, L1 and L2,L1 and COM.The light switch controls 2 lights( one in the kitchen and an outside garden light.Any advice on which wire goes where greatly appreciated.

Red into both COMS on new switch.

Yellow into L1 on one side, Blue into L1 on the other.  If the switches are back to front, swap the yellow and blue.

You should run an earth cable from the back box to the front plate too.
