Under cabinet lighting fixture
Jan 26th, 2018, 3:23pm

Hi there,

We live in rented accommodation and recently one of the strip lights under the cabinets in the kitchen fell off. It was attached using two of the fixtures that I have included pictures of, which, in turn, are screwed into the cabinet.

I have searched and searched on the internet for replacements but I can't seem to find them, I have also been to a few hardware stores who do not supply these and also don't seem to know where I would be able to pick them up.

This may be as simple as me not knowing the right term and therefore being unable to find them!

I understand that there are lots of other options but as we rent the property, I would prefer to reattach the light in the way it was originally installed.

Many thanks in advance!

Any make on the actual fitting? Under the lamp itself perhaps?

I would think it very unlikely that you will be able to replace these parts. They are probably years old and lighting has changed dramatically in the last few years. Undercabinet lights are inexpensive, if you get them from somewhere like Screwfix, and I would think you would be better off replacing rather than try to repair.

We've got some Ikea cabinet lights with mounting brackets like those.  Ifnyouve got a local one, might be worth looking in the reject room / bargain corner?
