Title: concrete mixers
Post by typical.me on Apr 4th, 2005, 1:14am

Hiya guys, pretty new to the forum, but wondered if anyone could give me a bit of advice regarding concrete/cement mixers.
I am thiking of buying a Belle 150L mixer 2nd hand to use for a garage base and other jobs,( footings for a large retaining wall )
Anyone know what the capacity would be i.e. how many drum fills for a cubic metre, and also what quantities of ballast, cement etc for a cubic meter. Sorry if its a bit basic, (im in the electric trade!)

The Belle 150 range actually produce 90 litres per mix.  There are 1000 litres to a cubic metre so 11 and a bit mixes will be needed per cubic metre.

The Belle MAXI is by far the best option, all the others are a compromise.

Quantities for concrete:  A 25kg bag of cement per 90 litre mix gives a ratio of approx 1:6
