Title: gas fires and airbricks Post by nithered on Mar 23rd, 2009, 2:40pm is there any safe way to have a gas fire without an airbrick for ventilation? having an airbrick in the middle of winter creates a freezing cold draft straight into the room which then has to be negated by a fire on full heat. suggestions welcome. |

Title: Re: gas fires and airbricks Post by JerryD on Mar 23rd, 2009, 4:43pm You can get balanced flue gas fires I believe but to have a gas fire with NO ventilation would not be possible other than those dreadful 'flueless' gas fires that pump gallons of water vapour into the house. Latest regs might even not allow any of these. Post your query on the plumbers forum, someone there may know more. |
