Title: RCCB trip automatically at night Post by Ansha on Mar 23rd, 2010, 3:39am Hi I have a strange problem in my home. The RCCB trips around 11pm every night. Each time it is switched on again, it trips in around 1minute. This problem continues till 6 am. After that even if we switch on all loads, it wont trip. The same problem repeats every night. A few electricians who inspected told that problem maybe with service wire. But my idea is RCCB wont detect fault outside the home circuit. Will replacing the RCCB solve the problem??? Even if i switch off all the loads, RCCB trips in around 1 minute after 11pm. Someone please help. Its very hot here and couldnt sleep for a few nights |

Title: Re: RCCB trip automatically at night Post by CWatters on Mar 24th, 2010, 4:56pm Got Economy 7? Doesn't that kick in around 11pm? Edit: Ah just noticed you said it was hot where you are. Which country is that? Economy 7 is the name for the UK's cheap rate electricity tarrif that kicks in at night. |
