i have a little wet patch in my landing wall where the bottom of my shower meets the landing wall their is a long crack the length of the wall (less than 1 meter the wall is masonary but where it meets the shower it continues as plasterboard)which i chose to ignore ove rthe years and now their is a couple of wet patches on the crack itself how do i repair it

Pictures would help.

Has water got into the plasterboard and right through the stud wall? If so it might have to be taken off to allow it all to dry out. Could be a right mess inside the wall if it's been leaking for years.

Ideally in or near a shower you would use a waterproof board - perhaps Hardi backer board under tiles. If the wall is part brick, part timber it might be best to clad both with hardibacker board (eg across the join) so that any future movement where the two meet doesn't crack tiles.

What he means is rip out the shower & re-do it properly! I had a similar experence recently when I moved, the walls were falling apart due to the damp & the floor was so rotten I could cut it with a stanley knife !!!
