Title: DIY Plumbing - Gas Advice
Post by thescruff on Mar 19th, 2005, 7:16pm

Would all DIYers please note that although advice will be given on gas related problems on no account should any work be done to gas pipework/appliances by anyone other than a Gassafe registered installer. This is a legal requirement of the UK and whether we agree with Gassafe or not we must obey the law.

As such any advice given pertaining to gas on these pages is for information only and should NOT be attempted in person.

This statement will continue to be true for as long as you can read it.

Thanks.

Just to point out that Corgi are no longer the Federation handling domestic gas safety in the UK. From the 1st April 2009 it is Gassafe register. So you need a Gassafe registered engineer.
Corgi are a name only from then.

As Simon kindly pointed out :-

From 1st April 2009 It will be "Gassafe Registered Engineer"

Unless you live in Northern Ireland which will continue to be Corgi for at least another year.
