If  the room is a special location you shouldn't paint anything unless you've informed the local authority.

Part P regs (P = Paint) came into force Jan 1st.

What if i rip out the bath, basin and toilet, so that it is not a special location, paint the ceiling then fit the bath, basin and toilet back in? Do you think i will get away with it?

Zambezi this is a damn good idea, and I really mean it. If the bath etc is removed as part of a re-fit it is no longer a bathroom, same with a kitchen with everything removed it is just a dining room. Do the wiring in the now spare bedroom/dining room, then shock horror the customer wants the bath/kitchen re-fitted.

Anyone know if I can get away with this :-/ :D

Anything you do in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) is OK because that nice Mr Kaunda hasn't thought of anyone needing planning permission.
Just wait til he thinks about it so he can charge you for every mud hut on the stolen tobacco farms.
I bet Gunson is not so well known since that nice gentleman kicked Mr Smith out of power.
