Title: Brick Effect Panels Post by master_of_none on Nov 18th, 2005, 11:07am Have any of you guys ever came across brick effect panels, I think they are made of plastic. I would like to install these in my kitchen then paint them white to obtain the rustic brick look, but unfortunately I have been unable to source these anywhere, any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks! |

Title: Re: Brick Effect Panels Post by woodsmith on Nov 19th, 2005, 8:01am This takes me back, of course I never used them ::) Brings to mind something I read on another forum Quote:
m_o_n I haven't seen these for a while, they weren't very durable, they became brittle, the slightest knock and they had a hole in them, so I would avoid them. There was a very thick wallpaper which gave a similar but better effect. Very expensive though, I think it was nearly £100 a roll :o A proper decorators supplies might be able to get it for you. There was also a kit of masking tape and goo, you used the tape to form the pattern of mortar, covered the wall in the goo then removed the tape. Looked reasonableish, but you had to hack the plaster off to remove it. |
