Title: male/female screws Post by scotspark on Dec 5th, 2010, 1:59pm I am looking to replace some door handle screws at my mums. door handles ar satin chtome house of rothley (cantfind them on the net) screws are 2 part 1 a 4mm (i think) machine screw with slottedraised head the other a 4mm (i think) machined female with slotted raised head. local ironmongers cant seem to get thim with raised head screw just raised head female and pozi head screw (not suitable for door handle but like you would see inside kitchen cabinet screwing into door handle. anyone know where i could get some??? cheers SS |

If I've read that correctly you can get the correct female part but not the male part? In which case you could buy the female from him and get some ordinary M4 sloted screws from somewhere else? If you can't get chrome plated raised head screws try stainless steel. I had to use stainless screws when we lost some chrome plated ones supplied with a shower fitting.
