Title: Danish Oil removal
Post by valerie on Dec 8th, 2011, 12:52pm

I have recently had some oak veneered interior doors fitted.  On the advice of the carpenter I treated them with Danish Oil.  However, the colour is now darker than I would wish.  Is there any way I can return them to their original colour?

Depends on the depth of the veneer, and the doors make up (whats below the veneer!)

What is it with these people and bloody Danish Oil.  Hate the bloody stuff. Sorry but your carpenter is a plonker to suggest that.   As TW says..it depends on how deep the veneer is but I fear that you are stuck with the current end result.

Beeswax..
