Title: Replacing old kitchen tiles, wall issues
Post by Sunsh1ne on Apr 29th, 2012, 10:03pm

In removing our old kitchen tiles from the wall, (30cm high), the tile adhesive has removed the majority of the plaster skim, but not all.

One wall is a stud wall, and the others are outer walls, so we can see through to the scored original plaster.

If it hadn't pulled off such wide areas of the plaster I wouldn't have worried about the area under the tiles, I'd have filled it to make it level and tiled over the top, but pretty much all the plaster behind the tiles on the stud wall has gone.

What's our best option? If it's to reskim this area, how do we do this?

thanks
