Title: painting a bog seat
Post by Natedog on Jul 17th, 2012, 5:39pm

I (and by that, i mean the other half) wants to paint the bog seat to match the decor in the bathroom.  i've got half a tin of emulsion left over in the right colour.  i tried painting it with a very short piled roller, and again with a brush, but i can't get the finish smooth enuf.  once emulsioned, i was planning to spray a couple of coats of clear coat.

if i water it down, can i spray waterbased emulsion thru a "normal" (not hvlp) spray gun?  or does anywhere make up spray cans by scanning your colour?

dont do it
you need to rub down use something like zinsser primer gloss paint then seal it twice  remember a bog seat is sprayed with lots off poo and pee you start rubbing that down and get a lung full off everything :o

it's a new wooden one, not one that has been used.  probably should have said that  ;D
