Title: How to hang a kitchen Wall cabinet?
Post by kamren20 on Jul 20th, 2016, 7:16pm

I bought a Ikea wall cabinet for my kitchen a basic two doors and shelf.
Assembled size
W80.0cm
D38.6cm
H60.0cm
mostly made of Fibreboard & Particleboard.
I'm not sure which type of screws & the size i should be using.
it will need to be fix to ikea Suspension rail on the wall and my kitchen wall is a red brickwall with light plaster. my previous wall cabinets was fitted with brown wall plugs to the wall, so i probably need screws & wall-plugs.

I would really appreciate your help!

Hi As per Ikea instructions.
Quote:
Good to know
Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home, sold separately.
The hinge is adjustable in height, depth and width.
To be completed with knobs or handles.

Brown plugs and 50 x 10 screws would do most jobs, at the end of the job only the fitter will know if it's strong enough.

bin whatever wall fixings came in the pack!  the last ikea wall mount cupboard i got came with screws that were just shy of an inch long.

into brick i'd use 2" no8 or no10 or the metric equavalent
