Title: Replacing damaged bricks

Hi Iv had a nightmare today as my van rolled into the corner of a customers garage 😏 So I need to replace 4 bricks on the corner of a garage, they are over 2 courses. Can anybody give me advice on easiest way to do it, how many bricks to remove and replace at a time, which ones to do first etc I think removing the broken ones I should be OK as Iv seen how to drill the mortar out etc just a bit sketchy on how many I can remove from the corner etc I will try to attach a picture, any help will be much appreciated

Correction they are over 3 courses of the wall

To be on the safe side I think I'd remove the three right hand, in the photo, bricks first, starting with the bottom one and working up. Drill, or grind, out as much of the mortar as you can to avoid disturbing the other bricks. Then remove about a quarter of the remaining damaged brick to make it easier to remove without disturbing your new bricks. Replace the three bricks and then remove the part brick and replace that.

Ok thank you Woodsmith, what would be the best way to remove half or a quarter of the last(left hand) brick without disturbing others would I want to drill a line down it and break it away that way?

Yes that's what I would do. You just need to remove enough so that you can get it out without disturbing the new bricks, it takes a few days for the mortar to completely harden so they wouldn't stand being knocked about.
