Hello
I have just started a new loft conversion and would like to install 4 extra double sockets would it be best to run a fused spur off a second floor socket or extend the ring to the loft space. Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.

best to extend the ring.
if you have the option stick a new circuit in on a 20amp breaker to supply the loft- makes identification and isolation much easyer- also means that you wont increase the load on the ring

Although if you have a sep ring upstairs, there isn't usually a great load on first floor ring, not like ground.
