Bar Pressure
May 25th, 2004, 4:04pm

Might seem a dumb question ???
I want to have a multi jet shower installed the manufacturers recomend a minimum pressure of 1 bar,
how does this convert to head of water from base of tank in loft to shower head?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1 bar = 10m height or is it the other way round.

Above the fitting outlet that is.

OK looked around and there are umpteen different pumps all doing the same job!!
Anybody give me an opinion as to a decent make,as regards to trouble free operation.
Also are there any problems with fitting a pump in the roof space or under a floor as these are the only two places I can fit it.
Thanks for any help.

Fitting pump in loft space is fine and reqires a 240v supply feed via a spur fused at 3a max.

Fitting a pump in the loft is the least recommended position and should be avoided where possible.

Pipework layout and size would be crucial.
