Single or double radiator?

Is it best to use larger Single rad or a smaller double radiator to get the same BTU output.I thought i read a large single is better

Provided the required output is ok, the normal practice would be to install a rad that looks best in the desired position, eg under a window.

For larger rooms try and space smaller rads around the various wall to avoid coldspots.

I can't really have 2 rads .I got got quite wide windows  so i think a larger single rad would look better

Are most rads the same ,the ones in B&Q (Biasi) seem a lot cheaper than say Stelrad/Delongi etc

No there not the same the diy sheds are without being rude not a patch on the stelrad.

I agree sometimes a large single rad with fins looks better than a double.

Do your sums and see what fits best.
