Guys

Im getting quotes for the following and wanted to know what to expect so I dont get ripped off!

Tiling of 4 walls with ceramic tiles onto dried Plaster walls, and also Floor...

Total Size - Height - 2.5m, Width 2.9m and Lenth 2m

En suite - hright 2.47m, Width 91cm length 2.70m

Clock Room, 1metre x 1metre with around 2.5 metre height...

Porch - floor - 2.68m x 1.22m

2 of the floors are on upstairs on the house..and will be laid down with 25mm Plywood, once planks are removed.

Ill supply all the materials....

Ive included the entire rooms sizes to that I can get quotes which are slightly over as there are obv areas which wont be tiled (behind bath )

A lot depends on the amount of labours- cutting, narrow widths, corners, size of tile, listels etc . If all the sanitary ware is not fixed, ply is down and all the work can be done in one go then about 6 days for wall tiling and two for the floors. Price will depend on where you are in the country.

Depending on area and the tiler, but the tilers that I have worked with in the past have charged anything between £28-£35 a sqm, and that would normally include the adhesive and the grout, the tiles you yourself buy.

Some charge per day, or if its a small awkward area their prices could differ.

I'd want £250 a day in Surrey which works out about £31/m2

£25 to £35 per square metre is what they charge around here and I am in Kent so Essex prob about the same. That is for ceramic tiles and would inc the adhesive and grout. Marble tiles would be more as the adhesive and grout are more expensive so I have just been told. Hope that helps.

The adhesive/grout really doesn't cost much more for natural products, the chemical sealants do, but the real killer is it takes nearly twice as long to install natural stone as every cut is a dimaond wet wheel cut, plus all the edge polishing.

So if you're installing a natural product budget closer to £60 sq/m

thanks guys! Still gota wait for the quotes now! got two guys in to quote!

But i was thinking of doing the small cloak room myself...not to save on money but to see if I could do it!

Questions that I do have

1) Its been made from Stud Wall and been plastered with a door way (only door lining put in.

Would I tile to the lining? Picture can be viewed here

http://www.keepmyfile.com/image/0a602d1065743

2) The corner in this picture meets...aside from grouting in the corner and using spacers for the space; is there any other method to meet corners neatly?
