Hot water problem

We're decorating a bedroom and have removed the radiator to paint it. No problems with that job and no leakage from the pipes. BUT the hot water has stopped working. Water comes out of the hot taps but it's cold. Any suggestions please?

Whats the pressure in the boiler, come to that what is the make and model of the boiler.
Has it got any water in it.
