damp ceiling paint repair

hi
i,ve had a small water leak on my kitchen ceiling
it has been repaired and the board is now thorougly dry but a small area has peeled back to bare plaster
what is the best way to repair this so i have a smooth ceiling to paint as any uneveness would be very noticable

If it is a smooth ceiling then you could use filler (Polyfilla or similar), sand lightly then paint.
If it is a textured ceiling then you will need to buy a bag/tub of Artex repair stuff from a DIY store and follow the instructions on the tub/bag. It is not easy to blend in a repair on a textured ceiling but it can be done with a lot of patience.
