I heard that many of the governments own websites wern't going to comply with the law in time Smiley

I can understand it to some extent - Screwfix were almost leaders in using cookies to store info for advertising reasons.  Look at a product on screwfix, then goto a completely different site and that very product is advertised in their top bar.  I noticed it a couple years back and at the time thought it was clever!

Cookies are required for many things, but like anything, can be abused!

I am not even sure if out site complies, not sure exactly what you need to inform people, and not sure if a sticky post is enough - I have placed some comment in the reg-agreement too.  No issue with guest viewers, just members.

I go on the RSPB web site, and get them advertising for ever and a day, can be quite annoying at times.
