GU10 6W High Power LED - 9.5cm

I have purchased the above mentioned via ebay mistakenly.
Are these safe for regular recessed GU10 ceiling fittings?
These are very long bulbs compared to the regular 50w halogen bulbs I had been using.
I will be trying these out at home to see if the item fits inside the light fitting itself but just wondering if these are safe.
These ar elisted as 6 watts and 500 lumens and I have conflicting results about the equivalent wattage

They will run cooler and so are safe to use in existing fittings.
Some gu10 light fittings are deeper than normal to accept the larger LED or CFL lamps, but not all are. Your lamps may not even fit.

on the output comparason side 500lumins would be equivillent to around 40w as 1300 lumins is 100w equivillent on a normal bulb
in the absence off information to the contrary
if you go for a 9 to 1 ratio so 1w=9w 2w=18w etc so your 6w will be 54w

In case you can't get the money back... You can get adaptors to allow GU10 base lamps to fit into bayonet or screw fittings. I have some GU10 LED fitted in ordinary pendant light fittings using such an adaptor..
Just one source..
