Wiring for a double Oven (Read 7900 times)

supernanny08 GDPR opt-out	Wiring for a double Oven Jul 3^rd, 2013, 9:45am I have bought a hotpoint electric double oven, it says the electrical connection is 4.8Kw. can this be run on a 13amp plug or will I need to get an electrician in to wire it up. Main oven consumption is 0.99Kwh, second oven consumption is 0.79Kwh. It does say in the Spec oven has to be hard wired.

This oven needs to be hard wired, and in fact, should really have it's own circuit, separate from the hob.

Not the easiest DIY job if the distribution board has not got a spare slot for the breaker.

The oven is only 21amp, so a 30/32amp circuit would be fine.
