RCD FUSED SPUR

Hi, I hope someone can help. I have fitted a RCD fused spur which trips at 30mA between a cord pull and an air pump for a spa bath. The unit works fine when switched on by the cord but trips out when the cord is pulled to switch the power OFf. All of the wiring seems in order. Can anyone suggest what to do please. Many thanks. John.

If its an active (as opposed to passive) RCD spur, it will trip at loss of power. As yours is after the pull cord, every time you switch off it would trip.
Put it before the pull cord or change to a passive type.
