Copper pipe in solid wall

Hi all, am in the process of fitting a shower and using copper hot and cold feed pipes. Have chased out wall but am not sure about what I can use to fill in round pipes.
My thoughts were to use an undercoat plaster, and tile over, but not sure if this is OK, would the hot water pipe crack the plaster, and then cause problems with the tiles? I was always told that sand and cement mix would eat into the copper over time, so not sure which way to go, any suggestions?

A bonding plaster is easy to use.
