Hi everyone, I have installed some cheap imported LED ceiling lights and the circuit will occasionally trip, rarely on start up but frequently after anything from 30 minutes to 5 hours or more of being switched on. I feel confident regarding the wiring and literature searches has revealed that cheap electronic LED drivers can often do this. I did consider upgrading the MCB from B to C but I have decided to try a different approach first.
The lights have individual drivers, 240v in; 18-24v DC @300mA out, and I have a total of 6 lamps. I was considering removing the individual drivers and wiring the 6 lamps to a single driver. I have found a good quality branded driver rated at 24v 50watts @ 2.1 amps. Is this suitable to use as the output would be the equivalent of 350mA per lamp.
