LED & dimmer switches
Mar 8th, 2016, 9:03pm

I am in process of changing from halogen to LED panels in the kitchen, I am likely to have 3 x 12w LED panels.
The current arrangement is 5 halogen with separate drivers on a dimmer switch.
Would I have to change the dimmer switch before using the LEDs. The LED drivers are output 24-42v DC.

Find out if the LEDs and their driver can be dimmed because not all can.

If the manufacturer says they can be dimmed then ask what type of dimmer is required.
