Dimmer Delay (Read 5093 times)

Overrunning Project Junior Member Offline Ask The Trades Posts: 16 Total Thanks: 0 For This Post: 0	Dimmer Delay Mar 25^th, 2017, 9:40am Hi We have just had some dimmer switches installed however when we turn them on there is a long delay before the lights switch on. There is also a large delay when you try to dim the lights. Does anyone know what the problem is and how we could resolve this? Thanks

Could be that the delay is a soothing capacitor or capacitive dropper in an led him or fitting that has to charge up / discharge and that's giving you the delay?

A short delay is normal.

I don't understand how the downlights take 3 -4 seconds to switch on however the 3 dimmable spot lights switch on immediately? Thanks

I got another electrician round and he fitted the following - Aurora LED Dimming Module AU-DSP400X. It seems to work perfectly now. Thanks for help
