Nicotine stained coving
Aug 14th, 2017, 9:21pm

Doing up an old house the ceilings have painted over well with Leyland trade emulsion but the coving will not take it .its some kind if old polystyrene filled thing with a bit if a plastic texture. It's in good condition but can you recommend anything to mask the horrible nicotine staining . Thanks in anticipation

Wash it with sugar soap or similar then any good stain block paint will do the job.

Zinnser make some good products for what you want, Wickes-Screwfix etc should have them on the shelf.
