Toilet spigot leak
Jul 29th, 2018, 6:55pm

Hello,

I have a leak from the toilet spigot and the connector, the connector is sitting straight and I have tried two new ones one being mcalpine and it still won't seal, the glazing is rough as / missing all over on the spigot I think this is the cause, is this sort of thing usual on toilets? I'm sure I could bodge it but that's not really good darts on a new expensive toilet!
I would upload a picture but I only have my iPhone at the moment and basic uploaded doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for any input!

Edited:
Upload is working from my iPad.  You do need to use the old basic uploader, not the flash version.  It does seem to work though.

If it's that rough I would send it back for a replacement. be aware that colours can be different including white so you need to match the cistern with the pan.

Stand the pan on a piece of paper and top it up with water because the pan may be cracked/faulty

Merchants swapped it no problem, fitted in 5 mins sealed first time, must have been too rough or oval spigot on the old one.
